The 1461st meeting of the Association met
on October 7 1982 with Henny Bregliano in
her home on Kindley Court, Montgomery Village.

Deb Wilson reported that there is still $76.00
in the Treasury.

The next three places of meeting are: Beth
Bullard, November, Louie Canby, December -
Helen Farquhar, January.

Sentiment of the hostess: Henny welcomed all of us.
She planned this glorious sunny October day so
that some of us could have lunch on the deck.

Nel Johnsen introduced us to a hand book on
the Aloe Vera plant. The juice from this plant,
which one can buy, is good for ulcers, high blood
pressure, diabetes as well as burns and poison ivy.
Question: Does anyone know the whereabouts of the
portrait of Thorny Brown that Carol Summers painted.
It was suggested that Carol Summers may have it.
Who fixes irons? May Wit in Olney or Basil Waters
in Gaithersberg.

Betty Ligon read a poem written by one of Dr
Ligons patients titled the "Restless Heart."

Dorothy Weske read Queen Elizabeths speech to her
troops at the time of the Armada taken from
Sir Arthur Bryans book "Deliverance".

Wendy Lawrence told of her trip to Arizona and
New Mexico, to see the prehistoric sights and
relics. The Hopi reservation is enclosed by the
Navaho reservation. It is thought that the Hopi
are decendants of the cliff dwellers.

Deb Wilson found a booklet dated 1895 which
contained a record of the weaving her mother
had done. One piece of carpet of 33 yds was made
for John Bentley. It was made specifically for a
circular stair.
