Louie Canby read why Eleanor of Aquitaine is worthy of study - many
reasons, among which are that she was Queen of both France and England,
she mothered a dynasty that lasted 3 generations, took up arms in behalf
of her son at 80 years of age - and she "boldly strode across the 12th
century" experiencing much that was similar to the goals of the modern woman.
