Mary Moore Miller
Jan. 7, 1982, 1452nd Meeting
On Jan. 7, 1982 the 1452nd meeting of the Association
met with Mary Moore Miller. Her
guests were Mary Jo Williams and Nancy Johnsen whose mother and
grandmother are members of the Association.
Mary Reading Miller, our previous hostess presided;
she read the Rules and Regulations as
required for the January meeting each year.
Deb Willson, treasurer, reported that she had
sent $25.00 each to the Travellers Aid Society,
to Olney FISH and to Meals-on Wheels. Deb read
letters of appreciation that had arrived from the first two.
Corrections were made on the name and address
list; Joy Shotts agreed to prepare an up-to-date
directory. The current officers, Patty Stabler as
secretary and Deb Willson as treasurer were unanimously
approved to continue in those offices.
Wendy Lawrence is unable to continue as our
representative to the Women's Board; Caroline.
Schauffler was asked and consented to replace her.
The next three places of meeting are with Mary
Lillian Moore in February, Eugenie Riggs in March
and Caroline Schauffler in April.
As her sentiment, the hostess quoted William James,
"The greatest discovery of my generation is that human
beings can alter their lives by altering their attitudes of mind.
