Rebecca Small, read a lovely poem, "The Artist", written by our
own Fanny Iddings.

Sylvia Woodward a wonderful daily dozen to live by. She asked
if anyone had parsley. Rose Gilpin could let her have some.

Mariana Miller, "A Rainbow over the Alps," an account of the
moral rearmament gathering over there this year. She asked how to
get black marks from the floors. Rebecca Small recommended "Preem".

Esther Stabler read an article by Cousin Alan Farquhar, "Ought
our women ride bicycles". from a paper of Jan. 1897. Also poems by
Fanny Iddings and Bessie Tom, from the same paper.

Dr. Crum read an editorial from the Farm Journel, "Not so
very funny."

There was no School report, but we decided to send $5.00
to the Community Fair.

There was no Hospital report.

The Membership Committee presented the name of Mrs. Thelma Anderson
This was approved and her name will be placed on the waiting list.

Anna Bussler recommended Jos. Johnson as a window cleaner,
and floor finisher.

The Needlework Guild is coming up. It was moved by Margaret
Jones that 22 garments be collected as a memorial to Mary Hutton.
This was carried, and we will bring the things to the next meeting,
even though the annual meeting will be the Tues. before our meeting.

Adjourned to meet with Alice Farquhar at the Community House
November 3rd.at 12-30.
