origin of corn, and is estimated to be four thousand years old.

Dr. Crum read of farm incomes from The Farm Journel. She also told
us that she had learned the Lycoris lilies should not be moved for
years.

Mrs. Valient, a guest read a clipping on Faith. The story of
a boy flying a kite in a London fog, who knew the kite was there
because he could feel the tug.

Margaret Jones some exerps from David Grayson.

Ethel Thomas "Bear Facts ". She told us the theatre would open
May 31st, and"The Heritage" , "The Ancorage" under new management,
will open May 15th.

Rebecca Small gave us some good advice,

Deb.Willson wanted to know what price to ask for a "Betsy Lea
Cook Book". No one knew, but we all thought it valuable, as they
have been out of print many years. Alice Farquhar thought she could
find out the price. A request was also made for a complete set of
"The Annals of Sandy Spring."

Elizabeth Ligon did now read because of the time, but told a funny
story which was brought to her mind by the bathing suit.

The only committee to report was the School Committee.
Sylvia said the last P.T.A was held Tuesday night. The play
given by this organization latter in May was announced.
