The Mutual Improvement Association held
its 1004^th Meeting with Margaret Jones at
“The Briers July 2, 1942 beginning at 10.30
A.M. with luncheon served at 12.30.

Elizabeth Stabler presided in the absence of
Isabel Jones. The minutes of the last Meeting
at this place were read, and then the
minutes of the last Meeting were read and
approved. The Treasurer, Margaret Bancroft
reported a balance of $2.64 after
the Community Council dues of $5.00 were
paid June 18th. Two mem here have not
yet paid their dues. The Community
Council report was given by Margaret
Bancroft. In it Mr. Graham spoke of the fine
work the Civic Federation is doing and
regretted that the representation from the
Community Council did not attend oftener –
Dr. Bird and Mr. Wilson reported
progress being made in the matter
of a bus from Sandy Spring & Olney
neighborhood to Washington. If on two
