Wyndcrest - 2-1-1934 913th meeting.

After the luncheon the 913th meeting of the Mutual Improvement Association was called to order by Mariana Miller at "Wyndcrest" - 2-1-1934 at two o'clock in the afternoon. - see note.

The minutes of the last meeting at this place were read - and the minutes of the last meeting - read and accepted.

The Treasurer, Mary Tilton, reported On hand from last report - 29.12 Dues - 1.25 Total receipts - 30.37 Christmas opportunity for Social Service League 10.00 Dues for Federation 18.00 28.00 Lo bal. - on hand Jan 1-1934. $2.37 The report was accepted - The treasurer was instructed to

pay $2.50 to Estelle T. Moore Jr. for a new minute book. The secretary was given permission to buy a minute book in which to write the minutes by hand instead of having them typed.

The report of the Community Council was given by Helen Hallowell for Helen Farquhar. The action of the Council in its objections to the building of a liquor dispensary was upheld. - also approved its action delaying the closing of Brighton school - and recommended sending some of the children now attending Sherwood school to either Brighton or Brookeville in order to relieve the crowded condition. The Association also agreed to assist with the furnishing of the Olney School House as a Boy Scout Lodge.

State Scholarship - County Scholarship - Kindergartens &c. - It was voted to send $2.50 to the State Scholarship and to discuss the County Scholarship at the next meeting.

Next meeting place - "The Maples" with Mary Nichols at the regular time.
