is to come to the table hungry. Albina Stabler
read some extraordinary English epitaphs one of
which set forth the virtues of a man who had been
the father of 28 children by one wife and 17 by
another leaving 251 descendants. We are sorry
he will never know that one woman present when
the above was read spoke her mind in two
words "A Turk!" This amusing scrap was
followed by one upon "Post Mortem Kindness"
urging us to send flowers and speak loving words
to living friends for "justice may come too late
when it is pronounced in eulogy on the dead"

Mary E. Moore informed us that the death rate
averaged 67 a minute, the birth rate 70.

Sarah T. Miller announced the evening meeting
of the Anti Saloon League at S. S. Lyceum and
said she noticed by the minutes that she had
missed one chance to read something upon
Woman Suffrage to the Association so she gave
us the results of the new dispensations in
Col. which were indeed cheering to those
