is finished he adds "and Father
in Heaven take care of my
Popertie". When Mrs. M. went up
to him she told me he said his
prayer to her of his own accord --
the next morning I asked him
if he had spoken about Popertie
in his prayer. "No, not to her"
he said, which I thought showed
a certain fineness of feeling I
was glad to see. He is very loyal
to his Momime & his Popertie
and he weeps bitter tears if I tell
him I am going to give him to
April -- I have had to stop saying
it. I hope thee & Bert went to City
Island -- those saints do good

Father don't think he will have time to call at 30 & 14 as he goes
out of town every night.

Norwood --
June 17th 1900.

My darling --
They have all gone off to
Meeting and I have an hour of
blessed tranquillity -- I love
people in a way and always
enjoy rubbing against other
minds, and studying new phases
of character; but I am essentially
the Quaker who remembered
"there was silence in Heaven"
and I think to the Paradise
is filled with quiet,
We have been having a down
pour since last Wednesday --
and such a rain steady, deliberate
and very wet -- thee
knows some rains are not at all
welling.

Love unspeakable & do come if it is anyways right Margaret.
