The regular monthly meeting of the Citizen's
Association was called to order by the first vice pres.
Mr. Mahlon Kirk II at 8:15 P.M. in the old wheel
wright shop in Olney. Minutes read and with one
correction were adopted. Letters were read from the
State Roads Commission written to Mr. Beane
regarding "Stop signs" at Manor Club center
marking of roads, & fixing of shoulders from Silver
Spring to Brookeville. Some of the work has already
been done and the center marking will be taken
care of in the near future as the marking machine
is in use in Western Md. at the present time
Mr. Beane the only member of his committee went
before the Co. Com. about road stands. They said
the zoning had just been completed and was up
before engineers for approval but they felt the stands
were operating illegally and that they would investigate
them immediately and have then closed
if they were not operating under the law. The chairman of
the Co. Com. said they would refer the investigation
