Mary Stabler as Forethought
said Dahlia seeds can be sown
now, and will bloom this year.
Watch for thrips on iris and lillies.
Attack weeds as soon as they appear.
Thin out & stake delphiniums.
Cultivate perennials with fork
or spade. [A?] is good in comfort.
The poultry reportshowed
fewer chicks fowls than in April.
Dues were collected and
Com. Council bill paid.
Isabelle Wesley read the lists of
flowers and vegetables. Fine
rhubarb and asparagus &
remarkable sweet potatoes
for this season & this year.
The chairman appointed a
membership committee as
follows - Margaret Bancroft
Helen Farquhar and Mary Hutton
The new members of the Com.
Council are Ellis Manning
Thos. Hyde and Albert Stabler Jr. for
this session.
Questions
Elza Thomas described beautiful
trillium in a friends garden.
The flowers should not be pulled
as doing so kills the bulb.

rhubarb roots? Fall is a good time.
