The Acting Sect'y was asked to
extend grateful appreciation to the
returning Secty. The Acting Secty offered
her place to the newly elected secty, which
was declined.

The Treas. report was read and accepted.
Mary Reading Miller, the first reader
had an article on our native dog-wood.

Emma Stabler read us a very valuable
travel book for garden lovers - a guide
to garden spots all over this Country.
It is called "The Gardener's Travel Book."

It was suggested that some of the
surplus in our treasury might be well
spent in purchasing this book for
the use of our members - those who
anticipate a trip might like to
see what to see before starting
out - and those of us who stay
home might like to enjoy what
we are missing. At the end of
the meeting the subject was again
taken up and Mrs. Hallowell and
Mrs. Hill were appointed to investigate
