Can be gotten from Stump &
Waller, of New York City.

What is the best thing to use to
kill beetles on cucumber vines. Dust
with 7 parts lime & 1 of arsenate of lead.

Or take 1 quart wood ashes & 1 tablespoon
of kerosene, put in a trench around
the plants & it has been known to
do the work.

It is possible that the soil is
too rich for nasturtiums & that is
why they are not blooming, though
is has been a poor year for them.

On the other hand, barberry may
be loosing its leaves because the
ground is too poor & so it goes!

Readers for next meeting.
(2) Lillie B. Stabler. Emmeline Hill (1).

Adjpurned to meet at The Porches
on October 5th.

The inspection of the garden and
lawn is always a pleasure
at Cloverley, & we saw the usual
productive vegetable garden &
the flower garden with its
very thrifty roses giving promise
of fine bloom next year.
