H/10/1933-1-
The Maples, April 3/1934

With almost a full membership
meeting, and some guests,
The Horticultural Society of Sandy
Spring
assembled in the Learning
Room of Glen Lauder for the
October and last meeting of this
George for 1933.
In the absence of the Pres or Vice
Pres, Mr Hurry our host, called
the meeting to order 2-30 o clock.
Mr Hill and his family were heartily
welcomed as members by the Society.
The minutes of the September meeting,
at Lulworth [Dr?] were read and adopted
without change. -
The first appointed reader Margaret
Bancroft
gave us a most interesting
article on the care and culture
of Gladiolus. The beautiful specimens
shown at our meetings this summer
were] [?] evidence that Norwood
knew how to grow Gladiolus.
