Blackberries that have sent up long canes should
have the ends of them trimmed.

What causes the leaves of young apple trees
(that have been set out this spring) to curl?

Probably a spider at work on them -- try spraying
with Pyrox.

Mary Magruder asked, "how far apart
should you plant asparagus? and do you ever
set it out in the fall?" She was referred to an
article on asparagus written by a farmer
member of this society, and kept by the Sect'y
for a referance.

Several members had noticed that the foliage
on different kinds of trees & plants did not appear
healty. And to show that the opinion of some,
that it was due to weather conditions, was
backed up by some other authority, we insert
the following.

The assistant Secty's list of exhibits included
various fine displays, the one from Norwood,
deserving special mention for its attractive
arrangment. One member brought a specimen
of the Russian Giant sweet(?) Corn. Surely
it deserves its name as far as hugest is conserned,
tho' those that had used it did not
consider it very sweet.
