The forthought [forethought] called our attention, among other
things, to this being a good time to trim shade
trees, plant pease [peas], beets & beans for a fall garden,
top dress winter roots & plough unused ground
to keep down the weeds.

As far as we know, (and certainly for a long
long time) the Horticultural has met on the first
Tuesday of the seven months from April to Oct.
inclusive, and for various reasons several other
societies have seen fit to change their meetings
to that same week. Some of their members feel that
there are too many gatherings concentrated in
such a short time; so it was suggested that
a Committee from this body be appointed to
confer with similar committees from other
societies to see about changing dates in order that
the meetings be spread mroe evenly thru the
month. Helen T. Hallowell, Emily T. Massey and
Milton Bancroft were named for that duty.

It was moved and unanimously carried
that we ask Ethel McKay to retain the place
Knowlton had held in the Horticultural.

Questions.
A new black & white Beetle has attacked Mr. Nichols
potatoes, but as it was a stranger to most of
us no one could help him name it.
