Mr Richard Iddings our other reader, read from
a book published nearly one hundred years ago. Also
a clipping telling of the origin of various fruits and
vegetables now in daily use. These familiar articles
were originally brought from as many different
countries as the ancestors of our "one-hundred precent [percent]
Americans."
Our poultry report shows seventy-nine chickens,
whereas last year we had but twelve.
The assistant secretary, Cousin Sarah Statler, reported
excpetional exibits [exhibits] for this month
The places of meeting were named as follows --
April -- Invercauld.
May -- Falling Green.
July -- Edgewood.
August - The Maples.
Sept, - Avalon.
Oct. - Brooke Grove.
Elza B. Thomas prepared our forethought in the
absence of Mrs. Tilton, She reminded us to look
over window screens, and kill the first flys.
Repack ice houses, spray, look over Grape vines,
and spray. Transplant shrubery [shrubbery]. replant grass, sead,
set out strawberry's.
