As soon as the asparagus tops begin to turn
yellowish & the berries to redden, cut and
place on the compost heap to decay. Then
put a heavy top dressing of Manure. Spring
planting for asparagus bed is best, etc, etc, etc.
We had a most pleasing display of
specimens. Florence Bentley acted as Assist. Secry
and from the lists she read we note 23 contributions
from Knowlton, 21 from Norwood,
and a very good number from many other
places.
As we had a vacancy in our list of membership,
Robert and Dorothy Henderson and
Mrs. Henderson Sr. were unanimously
elected members of the Horticultural, and
the Secretary was asked to notify them.

When must Soy beans be turned under, that
were planted when the potatoes were? Do
it before beans ripen.
Dr. Nichols will order two quince trees
for Cousin Ellen.
Is there anything new to kill cabbage
worms? Arsenate of lead in an all guana
sack, and shaken over it. Also Paris
Green & lime. Ane says no worm can live
if kerosene & water, or Kerosene and milk is used
