"Don't pick beans while wet, as it causes
rust. Don't pull or break flowers, as it
disturbs the roots, & above all dont make
a tenement house of your garden, give
every plant plenty of room to develope
into all that the plant is capable of doing.

The poultry report this month showed
1089 chickens, 14 ducks, less than half
as many as last May.

A message ame from Miss Sarah Kirk,who
appreciates our wish that she retain her
membership - on the Honorary list.

The Com. appointed at the last meeting to
urge the removal of rubbish heaps in the
old road near Sherwood, reported the owners
of the ground favorable to a general clean up.
& we hope to see a great improvement
very soon.

There being a vacancy in our ranks caused
by the resignation of Della Brooke, our
Society decided to invite Dr. Christie &
his family to join us. & the Sec. was
asked to cast the vote of the Society for
their membership, & to notify them of
our action.
