Mrs. Lym was told the best time to put
down rose-cuttings was after they bloomed:
put them in sand & a good plan is to
have three buds & plant them deep enough
to give these buds a chance to send out
shoots.

Alban G. Thomas wanted to know where to
sow cabbage seed for late cabbage. The
first week in June, but that is a little
late for tomato seed for late planting.

Aunt Sarah Hallowell did not get much
information as to what to do with a
hydranga [hydrangea] that had been blooming in
doors; they require a rich soil + much
water.

Stella Moore asked if "Babies breath" starts
from seed or plants, & the answer was
that they came from seed.

After adjourning to meet at Della Brooke
in July, we went to visit the attractive
flower garden with the rows of fine vegetables
just beyond, & then the truck
patch with its small fruits of growing crops,
all betokening an abundance of wholesome
food for the table for months to come.
