June 7th 1922
____ May
As it was more convenient for the Rockland
family to have the Horticultural on the 9th
of may, the regular meeting was postponed
one week until that date where we met for
lunch at 1 P.M.
Since our last gathering, another of our dear
and valued members has passed on to the
World Beyond, and the accompanying loving
tribute to Hannah B. Stabler was offered
by one of those present, a copy of which
was to be sent to the Edgewood family
with the love and sympathy of this Society.
In the absence of the secretary, Mariana S.
Miller reluctantly consented to act as well
as she could in her place.
Minutes of the last meeting were read and
accepted.
Cornelia H. Bentley read us of a new fruit,
the lime-quat, which promises to become
a valuable addition to the list of citrus
fruits. The lime is very sensitive to
cold, so this is a cross between it + the
kumquat orange + can be used in
"ade" drinks in the same way as limes.
