a wonderful crop. It seems Dr. Nichols
had no success with them, his ground was
not good, or planted too early, or something,
Mrs. Nichols thought they burned up.
Dr. Nichols wanted to know what could
have killed his 15 or 20 year old apple
tree, the tree died by halves.
