We were interested in hearing of the apples
that had been stored so successfully
at Della Brooke. They kept Mammoth
Balck Tongs & Stamens in barrels 5 or 6 ft.
from the floor of their dairy, & Bsn Davis
that had been bruised were also put there.
This process of keeping the fruit was very
satisfactory. Apples were seen in
a dairy in Howard Co., so it seems the
idea is carried out elsewhere.
