July

We met at Invercauld in July - the
meeting was not called to order on
time, as we were waiting for our Pres.,
who, for some reason was late.
Clarence Gilpin took the chair of state
until our first officer arrived.

The minutes of the previous meeting
were read and adopted.

There was a little continued discussion
on the subject of the Edgewood holly
tree - some advise cutting out the
dead wood, others do not approve
of much cutting.

The memorial to Francis M. Hallowell
was read by Mrs. Davis - and we all
deeply appreciated the sweet loving tribute
paid to the life of one who was so dear
to all of us.

"And the tears that we shed, though
in secret it rolls,
Shall long keep his memory green in
our souls."
