The 613th meeting of the Home Interest met with John and Edith Thomas at Clifton, Dec. 5th 1927.

Our guests were Mr. and Mrs. F.B. Welsh and Estelle Moore.

Families not represented were Christies, Kirks, Janneys and Farquhars.

The meeting opened with Sam Bond as chairman.

The reading of the minutes of the last meeting at this place as well as the minutes of the preceeding meeting held at Braemar, were approved.

The next meeting place is to be announced at a latter date.

Of the forethought committee Emma Bond was absent and Margaret Fussell read a short humorous clipping.

The committee to suggest a new meeting date reported progress and was continued.

Discussion of the problem of supplying water in sufficient quantities, at important points, resulted in the naming of Sam Bond, a committee, to confer (?) with like committeemen of other organizations.

The Sec'y's clerk was asked to see Dr. Christie as to the liklihood of him giving his paper, assigned him for the next meeting.

The resignation of Dr. and Mrs. Christie was presented to the meeting, verbally, through Edith Thomas. Their resignation, the Home Interest, in no uncertain terms, refused to accept and the matter was laid on the table.

The forethought Committee for Jan. were Edith and Wm. John Thomas.

The paper for this meeting "How do politics work in Maryland?", which was to have been given by Norris Fussekk was presented By Mr. F.B. Welsh of Rockville, in a very informal though interesting manner. He talked rather than read.

The questions were mostly announcements. Elgar Farquhar wanted to know how to multiply current bushes. Divide below the ground where they have taken root at the joints or stick them. They are easily grown. Fred Thomas, "Where can I get corn fodder. Miss White's. Adjourned.

Mrs. Emily Masay, Sec'y per Norris Fussell
