again, as by that time we will all be accustomed to the
change and may find it a saving of time.
There was a good deal of talk about the proposed
appropriation for the [illegible] Hopkins Un. by the state
sojme approving and others disapproving the movement.
And as by this time we were nicely warmed up to the
business of setting all the great questions of the day.
only the lateness of the hour prevented us from deciding
whether Congress had better make an appropriation of
50 million for national defence. However, tho it
may be humiliating to our variety, Congress settled
the matter the next day, without any opinion from the
Home Inst. upon the subject.
