Pattie R. Stabler told us her experience with
some very tender chrysanthmums that after
blooming indoors till Christmans for frozen & were
put int eh cellar dead. In the Spring, how-
ever, tho they had not had a drop of water,
they sproouted and did will on beong planted
out.
The methods of keeping apples were very
thoroughly discussed and some of the ways
suggested were packing in oats bran or tissue
paperl heading up in barrels and placing on the
North dise of the hours out of the sunshine; or
have them picked and dropped one at a time
into a baby's apron, deposited by her in a basket
carried by the lady in a double layer on the cel-
lar floor. The latter method was warranted
to keep apples till June.

On inquiry it appeared that 17 members
of the Society and the Secretary went to the Fair
20 or 25¢ per glass was considered a good
price for homemade currant jelly.
