Questions
P.T.D. One of hosts asked if the corn crop
of the past season was up to the average?
Fully an average crop was thought by [most?.]
A.M.D. wished to know where he could get some [straw?.]
No one seemed to know of any for sale.
A.D.G. wished to know the cost per acre of raising
a crop of corn?
$12.80 was the general average from different
[.] answers.
A.S. asked if he should sign a paper printed
by the C & P. Telephone allowing them to [illegible]
a line through his woodland.
He was advised not to let them go through
unless they agreed to pay all damages.
A.{?} T. wants to know if he should sow oats in
a young orchard?
Cow peas, potatoes or [crimson?] clover were
preferred.
E.P.T. wished to know what proportion of a crop
of apples should go to a tenant who trimmed
the trees, sprayed them and picked and
marketed the apples?
From 1/2 to 2/3 was considered right.
A.S. asked which was the most profitable to sell
milk or cream?
The members who were in the cream business
thought of course that it was the most profitable
and the milk men the same, but as
there happened to be more cream men
present they leaned in favor of cream
The Jersey cow seemed to be the favorite
as a cream producer.
