Thur. July 16th, 1896.
I loaned "Phil"Robison the horse
& phaeton to go to Unity to have some
teeth extracted under the influence
of "gas". he left before I was up.
Henderson "raised" an addition
to his mill, intended for a grain
storage "elevator". Afternoon we
has several light showers.
Phil Robison returned about
4.o'clock, Edwd coming with
him from "Fairfield" where he
had gone to pick blackberries.

Fri. July 17th, 1896.
This has been a lovely day
from beginning to end. I drove
over to see Mrs B. O. Hardy, going by
Holland's corner, & returning past
Ednor & Ashton. After lunch I
drove to Ashton again. Sister
Harriet arrived in the afternoon
stage. Harry & Hallie Lea called
here this morning. Kate Stabler
was here to see Dora again.
Jas T Henderson & I went up to
the insurance office and with
Benj D Palmer, held a "school
meeting" and appointed Miss
Dora Mitchell teacher in
place of Miss Ella M Henderson
who has resigned.
