Wed. July 8th, 1896.

It has been "showery" all day,
"holding up" occasionally, I rode
up to the village on horseback intending
to ride down to Robt Blair's
but the rain turned me back.
Afternoon Thos Stabler came
& I loaned him the horse and
phaeton to drive over to "Sharon"
& back before supper.
Allan Farquhar sent me a
small load of hay, on
a horse cart. Wallace Bond
called for me after dinner to
go to Ashton & prescribe for
Bernard Sheckels. I rode down
with him in his cart & walked
back. The two Palmer boys were
here this afternoon to see Edwd
the Robison boys were also here.
Kate Stabler & Lizzie Scott
were both here to see Dora

Thur. July 9th, 1896.

Cloudy & threatning all day but
cleared off about sunset. It rained
very violently several times during
last night. Alcinda Hill washed
for H - Tom Stabler went back to
Brigleton after breakfast. I was
called by telephone to go to prescribe
for Bernard Sheckels at
"Stifler's" & rode over there on
horseback after lunch. calling
at Jehu Bowen's as I went over.
Willie & Fanny came after tea
to spend the night with us.
