Fri. Sept. 20, 1895

Sister Harriet left in the stage
this morning for Laurel & Philada.
This has been another hot day
thermometer 92 degrees again in the
shade on office porch.
I walked up to the P.O. after
supper.

Ther. 75 Clear Wind Variable
Saturday 21st

This has been another very hot day
Thermometer 94 in the shade at
12.o'clk (noon): Afternoon Edwd & Phil
rode their bicycles & "Frank" rode
my horse to "Riverside" for a bath
in the River. Willie & Fanny
came before supper. After tea
W & I walked up to the store.
Frank Hopkins (colored) was here
for advice & med. for his infant
after I had gone to bed.

Sun. Sept. 22st 1895

Was called by telephone & drove to
"Marden" to prescribe for Mrs R R
Moore Jr. Henry Mathews called
also Miss Ellen Farquhar. Edward
rode bicycle to Ashton for medicine
for Mrs R R Moore Jr. & Willie drove
to "Marden" to take it to her taking
Miss E Farquhar with him. Cousin
Hannah Chandler came to spend
the day with us. Afternoon Willie
Edwd & the Robison boys all went
to the River "for a swim" again.
I loaned them my horse & buggy,
they came home to late supper.
This has been another oppressively
hot day. W & Fanny went back
to "Fairfield" after supper.

Ther. 70o Clear Wind N.W.
Monday 23d

Still hot, but a nice breeze
makes it much more endurable.
I drove to Ashton & to John Bowen's
to see Ruth Anna again & then
to "Marden" to see Marg T. Moore
again. Alcinda Hill washed
for H. Thos Waters (of S) ex tax
collector called & left statement
of taxes due him (to date $17.00)
Frank Hopkins (colored) was
here to see me after I had gone
up stairs to bed.
