Mon. Sept. 16, 1895

I rode on horseback to Alf Bell's
to see "Eleanor" whose child was born
about 9.30 p.m. without my being
called up. I also rode down to see
Ruth Anna Bowen again. Afternoon
I was sent for & went to see Louis
Johnson's wife on Downey's place.
Sister Harriet & Dora walked
to "Avenon?" & made a call,
also to Saml Wetheralds to
call upon Kate Stabler.
It commenced raining about
dusk. Edwd & Phil brought the
phaeton home from the shops.

Tuesday 17

Much warmer again. John
W. Johnson brought his horse and
helped get out the potatoes in the
lot; he was here to dinner. After
noon Dora & Sister H walked to
Ashton & back. Talbot T Awkard
was here for advice & medicine.
After supper Mrs Louis Johnson
was here for advice & medicine.
Kate Stabler took tea with us.
Edwd & I walked home with her.

Wed. Sept. 18th, 1895

We had quite a thunder gust
this morning with some hard rain.
Afternoon it cleared off. I went to the
mill & bought 1/4 cord of pine wood
from T Henderson & wheeled it down
on wheel barrow. Martha Bowen was
here for advice & med for her sister.
Carrie Hopkins was also here for
advice & medicine. Robert Miller &
Marianna Stabler were married
at "The Cottage" this afternoon at
5.o'clk. Mary Gilpin called & took
Sister Harriet to the wedding &
brought her home after dark.

Thursday 19

This has been an extremely
hot day, 91 in the shade at noon.
I drove to Ashton & called to see
Mrs Baker's boy. Bro Chas called
to bid good bye to Sister Harriet
who expects to return to Phila
tomorrow. After noon a thunder gust
passed north & one south of us.
Edwd & Letittia Kummer called
this afternoon. After supper I
walked up to the P.O. & mailed a letter
to Thos H Borden.
