Ther. 74 Clear Wind
Thurs. Sept. 12, 1895

This has been an extremely
hot day for the time of year. The
thermometer was about 90 in the
shade; bfortunately the nights are
cool. I was about home all day
except going up to Hendersons for
the papers & walking up to see
John Ridge after supper. Chas
Hill (of Reiner's)wife brought her
little daughter for advice &
medicine after dark.

Ther. 70 Clear & Cloudy Wind Variable
Friday 13th

Looked like rain this morning
& is much cooler this afternoon.
I drove to Ashton to see Mrs.
Baker's little boy & readjusted the
bandages etc. on his arms. Dr D
Dwyer being also there about
some dental work. I drove down
to John Bowen's to see Ruth Ann
again. Afternoon I went up to
the store & again after supper
to the Toll House.

Ther. 52 degrees Clear Wind N.W.
Sat. Sept. 14th

Quite cool this morning. Bro
Chas rode his bicycle over from "Riverside"
being the longest ride he has
yet taken. Mr Chas Hallowell
was at the office for advice and
medicine. I took the phaeton
up to the shop to have the top
renovated. Afternoon Lizzie
brought Sister Harriet over from
"Riverside: & left her here.
Alice Peirce brought W & Fanny
over before supper going home
again after tea leaving them
here.

Ther. 43o Clear Wind N.W.
Sunday 15th

Really cold to day. Made a fire
in the dining room. I went to meeting
with Thos Lea who called on his
way. "Alf" Bell came to meeting
after me & I went with him to see
"Eleanor" who is in "confinement."
I came home to dinner & went
again about dusk & home again.
W & Fanny went to "Fairfield" before
supper. Alice came after them.
Edwd went on his bicycle to bring Dora
& the Surry home. Dora going with Alice
& W driving the Surry with Fanny with
him. I went this morning (from "Alf"
Bell's) down to Ashton to see Mrs
Baker's little boy again before I
came home to dinner.
