Gilpin also here with a sprained
ankle. I loaned her a
moulded leather support &
applied & bandaged it for
her. Afternoon Kate Mathews
was here for advice & medicine
Edwd: & I Ran the cultivator
through the late corn. after
supper. Joseph Bond Jr:
was here (about dusk) to consul
me professionally.

Was called early, & went
after early breakfast down
to Cissel's bridge to see Howard
Smith's wife. Edwd went in
the phaeton with me home to
dinner. Smith came again for
me after sun set. & I went
with him on horse back.
