20o Cloudy N.E March Saturday 5th. 1887.

Cold, Cold, this morning. Martha A Wright was here for advice & medicine. Afternoon Nelly walked down to Ashton & back & up to Gideon Gilpin's. Alfred Warfield was here for medicine for his wife. Charley reached home at 7.20 p.m. tired & cold & worn out with his trip: having driven to Washington yesterday instead of Lauren finding the road too bad to the latter place He left Washington at 4.15.

32o Drizzle & Foggy S.E. March, Sunday 6th. 1887.

Was sent for to Plummer Water's and went in the buggy as far as Robt Stabler's and from there on horseback. the road being "horrible." Willie went with me & waited at Wm S Bond's until I returned from Walter's. I was suffering very much with a bad cold & rheumatism & was pretty well used up by my ride in the mist & rain. "Bob Johnson" was here to consult me again in the afternoon.

35 Cloudy, Rain & Mist. E March, Monday 7th. 1887.

Charley & I worked at the wel trying to get a sunked bucket fished out. Afternoon Elijah Leizear brought us 2 bushels of potatoes. Harriet & I drove down in the buggy to "Bloomfield" to call upon Helen B Lea but she had gone to "Highland." Charley took Nelly & Fanny down & left them at Kate Stabler's. Elijah Leizear called again & gave me the money to send for a "Babcock Uterine Supporter. I walked up to the P.O. & sent a money order for it to N.F. Taylor Boston Mass. After supper Charley & Willie walked down to Ashton to a Temperance meeting at the church.

40 Clear N.W March, Tuesday 8th. 1887.

Beautiful day. I drove down to Ashton. Charley went up to S.S. & brought a new ax in the place of the one he let fall down the well HE & Willie worked at cutting up the tree below the stable Wrote to Frederic Tyson & mailed the letter giving it to C Haslup to send with the Ashton letters to "Ednor" tomorrow morning. He being here in the evening to play whist with our young folks.

35o Cloudy S.E. March, Wednesday 9th. 1887.

Charley rode Kate to Elton to spend a day or two I drove to Allan Farquhar's to see Roland Moore about getting some wood but he has none to sell. He is putting up a "wind mill at Farquhar's. Commenced raining hailing & sleeting about 11.30 a.m. Wrote to T H Borden & mailed the letter.

33 Clearing March, Thursday 10th. 1887.

Emeline Hopkins here to see me at breakfast time. Mary E Gilpin was here for advice & med: for Martha A Wright. I rode on horseback to Jno Ed: Hill's and prescribed again for his infant son "Harold." Mr. Wright came for advice & medicine for Rachael Thomas & brought me $5.00 from her. I drove to Bloomfield & to Ashton. Ned Hopkins wife & daughter were here for advice & med for the latter Helen B Lea and little Anna called. I took them down to Bloomfield in the buggy.

30 Clear NW March, Friday 11th. 1887.

Clear & cold with high wind. Helen B Lea left for home (Lawrence Mass) via Washington. Elvira Hill was here for advice &c. Afternoon I drive to Ashton for some medicines & groceries. Wille rode away on the bicycle.

25 Clear N.W. March, Saturday 12th.1887.

A blustering March day. Edward was "croupy" last night. & we kept him in bed until after dinner to day the weather being so cold & windy. I recd a letter from F. Tyson. I spent most of the day up stairs with Edward reading and hearing him his lessons. Willie went in next door to stay all night. Miss Elizabeth & Mary Fowler both bring away from home.

33 Clear & Cloudy Variable March, Sunday 13th. 1887

Bro: R caulled on way to "meeting." Willie went away on the "bicycle" and was gone all day. Charley came home (driving Ernests buggy.) about 4.o'clock p.m.

37 Clear & Cloudy N.W March, Monday 14th. 1887.

High wind all day. Charley & Willie sawed up the log of the white oak tree at corner of stable. After dinner Albert Chandlee called & left 2. go for Henry Butler. I gave him some "Dzalized Iron" for himself Kate Stabler & Nelly called. the former to pay her bill. Dora & Willie went to Brighton driving "Fritz" to buggy Emeline Hopkins called to have medicine changed. I walked up to S. S. Charley took the carriage up to Oldfield's shop to have it repaired. after Willie & Dora returned. Charley is suffering considerably with his arm. the vaccination having "taken."
