77 Cloudy & Clear SW
JULY, WEDNESDAY 27th 1887

After break fast Charly
& I drove both horses to the
buggy & went to Elton to see
Minnie again. it was very
hot & hard on the horses
we came home to dinner
It looked "threatning" all
the morning & extremely
"close" & gusty but towards
evening it cleared off &
seems cooler than for
some time past. After
supper Henson Hopkins
was here for advice &
medicine. Charly went
to Ashton by moon light
on horse back_

73 Clear S.E.
JULY, THURSDAY 28th 1887

I drove over to Mary L
Roberts' and to Riverside taking
Edward with me. Charley went
away in the chaise cart. I
brought "Bessie" home with
us from Ashton. Afternoon
Willie took Nelly & Miss Cooney
over to Riverside in the carriage
driving "Fritz", he came
home driving him to the dog
cart, or "chaise cart", & went
back again on the "bicycle"
to a sort of a pic nic given
by Nelly at Riverside. I wrote
to sister Mary. Charly and
Willie got home from Riverside
about 10-15 p.m.
