SEPTEMBER, SATURDAY 3d 1887.

Charley & Willie were
both at home most of the
day. Sally Edwards Wright
was here for advice & medicine.
Edward seems quite
unwell again, threatened
with some slow fever. I
am afraid. Afternoon
Ernest came bringing with
him little Llewellen Rust
after early tea Charley
took Ernest in the "Road
cart driving "Fritz" & went
to Washington Bowie's. &
purchased a brown mare
said to be 7 years old; she
seems to be a very nice animal
and unless something
"shews out" after a while
I believe she is cheap enough
at the price $125.0/00.
Ernest left for Elton about
10.o'clk: Bro Chas: & Miss Nannie
Pancoast came after tea. Alice
& Fannie Pierce came to spend
the night with Dora.

{After supper I went over to Mary Robert's having been sent for again.}
