Dear Anna
We thought mother
was dying from 1/2 past 1 6th
day morning, until 7: when she
revived considerably, and is living
still, though very low. We have sent
word to Sarah Stone, asking her
to come over this afternoon, and we
shall ask her to stay all night
with us, unless mother rallies again.
She is now asleep and looks exactly
like a corpse. Mary would rather
have S. Stone here than anyone else
when the event does occur.
Mother has seemed anxious to be released
the last few days; she says no
one need to die of old age.
The Dr says her system is quite worn
out and that she is literally dying
from old age.
