Diary: Ellen Stabler, 1922

1922. 9th. mo. 5th 3d.day went down with Anna and Dr. Bussler came home in the Buss. Miriam and Mrs. Wilson here in the evening, also Edward and Nellie.

6th. 4th.day Thermometer 69 at 7 oclock; 84 in the afternoon. Bright day; Miriam and Mrs. Wilson here in the afternoon; Lucy and Doris here after supper. Frank went to a sale at Fair Hill in the morning; Away again in the evening.

7th. Thermometer 70 at 7 oclock 85 in afternoon; A good breeze in the afternoon. Mariana Miller called here in the afternoon, and went with me to the "Association" at Charley Forest. Miriam and Mrs. Speak called in the morning; Mrs Reid and Mrs. [?] in

1922. 9th. mo. 7th. 5th.day the evening; Marjorie and family here in the evening. Clouded up in the evening.

8th. 6th.day Thermometer 66 at 7/30. Cloudy most of the day. Fanny went to Washington to the Columia Hospital; Elsie, Miriam Edward and Nelllie went with her, they got home about 2 oclock. Frank went to his club at the "Highland" with Edward; Nellie here to Ashton

9th. 7th.day Thermometer 70 at 8 oclock. Fanny was operated on in the afternoon, favorable accounts. Samuel and Miriam, Lucy and Doris all here after supper. The Threshing machine came in the afternoon, to be ready to thresh 2d. day;

1922 9th.mo. 10th. 1st.day Thermometer 74 at 8 oclock; 80 in the afternoon. Asa Stabler and Mrs. Merrit called late in the afternoon; Marjorie here awhile late in the afternoon.

11th. 2d.day Thermometer 72 at 8 oclock; 80 in afternoon; a thunder shower after sundown; Threshed wheat here in the morning, then went to Auburn. Frank went to Olney in the afternoon to vote took Marjorie to Brookville to vote on the primeries. Heard favorable news from Fanny.

1922 9th.mo. 12th. 3d.day Thermometer 68 at 8 oclock, and at 11 oclock too. Rained mainly all night last night; Cooler today, Lucy Moore here in the afternoon.

13th. 4th.day Thermometer 58 at 7 oclock. Cloudy early morning, bright afternoon; bright. Doris Lea here late in the afternoon.

14th. 5th.day Thermometer 62 at 7/30. 80 in the afternoon. Clear day; Miriam here in the afternoon; I went to see Mary Anna Reese in the afternoon.

1922 15th. Thermometer 68 at 7 oclock; 80 in the afternoon. James and Alice Stabler here in the morning.

16th. 7th.day Thermometer 64 at 7 oclock. Cool and Clear. Elsie went to Washington in the 11-50 Buss to see her Mother. Marjorie and her children here in the afternoon. Frank away all afternoon and evening.

17th. 1st.day Thermometer 58 at 8/30. Bright and cool all day. Frank, Samuel, Miriam, Evan and Edward and Nellie went to Washington in the afternoon to see Fanny; Lucy Moore and Angus Jno Stabler of Washington here in the afternoon David Brighton came to stay all night.
