Cloudy morning, clear in the middle of the day, rain
late in the afternoon and again in the evening; father took
Mary Porter over to Howard County in the morning, home
to dinner.

21st. 5th.day
Clear and pleasant. Carrie Band came in the afternoon
and staid all night, Kate here to supper; father and
Mother went to Uncle Samuels awhile in the afternoon,
father there in the morning; William went to Haulings
River fishing, at River side to supper. Walter Brooke and
Phil both came for something for their Reapers.

22d.6th.day
Clear day: Lucy and Carrie Bond went to Fulford in
the afternoon; Lucy came home to supper; William went
to Harewood after supper: father went to Avondale in the
afternoon.

23d.7thday.
Clear day: father got home from Avondale about 7
oclock; William took me to Clifton in the afternoon.
reported that the Rebels are in Maryland again Stephen
Holland here to supper; Kate and Aunt Nancy both called here after
