The Wednesday club met with Bernice McLaury as
hostess on April 11th. The chairman called the meeting to
order, the sec. read the minutes which were approved with a
slight correction, and the treas. made the following report-
On hard March 7th. $ 55.59
Donations for memorial fountain 5.00 at 62.59
Receipts Extra 7.00
Disbursement $ 12.00 62.
On hand April 11th $ 50.59
The chairman then told us of a rather complicated
request from Mrs. Mc Guire-Tuesday-May 4th When the County
federation is to hold its next meeting was to be our time
for entertaining them but the whole affair has been changed
and still rather vaguely is to meet in Rockville, this can
be further discussed at our May meeting.
No especial reports were given except the one on
education. Helen Farquhar with some additions by Irene
Miller told of the progress on the Sherwood buildings-
now the greatest need seems to be for an industrail Arts
man teacher. We had letters of thanks for our contribution
to Sherwood library and the memorial fountain on the athlet-
ic field. The corresponding sec. had had a letter from
Gov. O'Conner in regard to the roadside bill, which we find
is opposed by the Grange and the Farm Burea. We hope to get
some reasons for this from our local representatives.
We next voted on the changes in the constitution and
by-laws of the County Federation on which our delegates
will be instructed to vote. There were a number of changes
of the words Executiv kCommittee to Board of Directors
and official Board to Broad of Directors
