OFFICE OF THE
CITY ENGINEER

Seattle, Washington, May 21, 1894

The Hon. Committee on Claims:

Gentlemen:

The statements made
in the annexed petition of Lyman E. Knapp
I find to be true. I think it proper that
the first part of the petition, to wit that
the Treasurer had authorized to apply $708.19
of the $826.74 excess heretofore paid, to the
benefit of the twenty one lots within the
district, should by ordinance reciting all
the facts, be granted.

The second half of the petition, that relating
to the rebate of the remaining $118.75, I do
not think can be granted until all warrants
on the street are paid.

Respectfully yours,
R. H. Thomson
City Engr
