To The Honorable Board of Public Works
AND
CITY COUNCIL of the city of Seattle, Washington.
Gentlemen: --
We the undersigned citizens of Fremont, and the newly
annexed territory to your city, would respectfully represent to your
honorable bodies that we are sadly in need of lights for our streets
and railroad-crossings: that the Houre of Delegates has promised us
four (4) arc lights, and the Board of Aldermen has agreed to give us
seven (7) arc lights, but as the matter stands we are not assured of
getting any lights at all.
Wherefore: we most humbly petition that you take definite action
at your very earliest convenience, and supply us with the number of
arc lights you see fit, but that they be put up at once if possible.
