To the Honorable City Council
I see that
you have passed on ordinance that all
intelligence offices shall pay a license of
$100.00. And give bonds to the amount of $2000.
Will you allow me to call your attention
to the fact that there are offices in the
City that only find employment for women
and do not do one half the business that
those offices do that find employment for
men and women. Where only women are
employed, or, employment is found for them,
hardly anything is made on account of the
scarcity of help. I wonder that such a very small
business should have to pay a license and if
does such a very high one. Will you have the
kindmenss to look into the matter? Looking and
hoping for justice I remain
