Gentlemen
Information having reached the
Board that its action in the purchase
of a second hand boiler from the
Queen City Boiler Works for the Water
Dept. for the sum of fifteen hundred
and seventy five dollars ($1575-)
has been criticised as not being justified
as regards the value obtained for the
amount expended, you are respectfully
requested to appoint a Committee
to act with Mr Rinehart of this
Board in making a full investigation
of the circumstances attending this
purchase from the first call for
bids to the final payment at
