To the Honorable Mayor and Common Council of the
City of Seattle
The undersigned residents of the Brooklyn District
on the North side of Lake Union do respectfully
petition your honorable body to establish and
maintain fourteen 30 candle power electric
lights to be placed as follows
NW Corner Broadway and Lancaster
NW Corner Broadway and Railroad Avenue
NW Corner Broadway and Chester
SW Corner Broadway and Federal
SW Corner Broadway and Beacon
SW Corner Broadway and Dartmouth
SW Corner Broadway and Franklin
SE Corner Brooklyn and Chester
SECorner Brooklyn and Federal
SE Corner Brooklyn and Beacon
NE Corner Lancaster, Summit and Lake Avenue
SE Corner Summit and Chester
SE Corner Summit and Federal
SW corner Columbia Street and Railroad Avenue[crossed out]
All of the above lights (except the last) would be on
streets which are graded and sidewalked, including the only
means of approach to a redisence district of over 50 houses.
The light last mentioned is at the intersection of the electric
Railway and the S L S and E Ry, where many passengers get on and off.
