The Town Council of the Town of Columbia
met persuant to adjournment:
Present V R Peirson mayor
Groat, Hepler Almquist & D C Brown:
Minutes of last meeting read and approved:
On motion Water rent to Miss Matthews
for the month of [?] was rebated:
Street Comittee reports culvert placed under
R R Track and low place on Ferdinand
St drained:
On motion Bill of C R Hepler for work on
drains was allowed as follows:
$2.15 on Emergency and $3.80 on General
fund:
On motion the Annual Election for
the Town of Columbia was called
and ordered held onthe 8th day of December
1896 according to the Laws of the
State of Washington, for the purpose
of electing One Mayor for the term
of two years and two councilmen
and one Treasurer for the term of two years and the
Clerk was instructed to post the
necessary notices for said election:
On motion Marshal was instructed
to purchase Wick and fit up lamp:
On motion meeting adjourned to meet
first Monday in December 1/96
