The Mayor and J A Kelso appointed a
committee to confer and act with
the City Attorney and proceed the collect
Grade Taxes from property abutting on
Columbus and Angeline Sts;
Communication from Nathan Beman
County Auditor encolsing certificate of
the assessed valuation of property situated
withinthe limits of the Town of Columbia
as Follows
Real Estate $114,135
Personal Property 2,970
Total $117,105
Council proceeded forthwith to fix
and determine their levy for Municipal
purposes for the year 1895 and 1896
On motion a levy of one per cent
was made and City Attorney instructed to draft an ordinance
and present the same at our next regular meeting
The mayor Appointed the Standing
Committee as follows: Committee on
Buildings and Wharves, Groat and Kelso
Committee on Water Calder and Kelso
Committee on finance Kelso Chase & Almquist
Marshal instructed to procure
one cord of wood for use of the Town Hall
On motion Meeting adjourned
