Columbia April 9th 1894
The Town Council met pursuant to
adjournment Mayor Hutchinsonpresiding
Roll call and the following council
men present, McKay, Willacy, Calder,
Groat and Chase
The muniutes of thelast meeting read
and on motion approved.
Motion made and carried for the
Treasurer to call in all General Fund
warrants below Warrant #29.
Ordinance #45 regulating the running
and operating of street and electric
cars on the Town limits, read and
on motion passed by the council and
approved by the Mayor.
Motion made and carried to authorize
the Treasurer to accept General Fund
Warrants in payment of water rent.
Motion made and carried that the
protest filed against the issuing a
warrant in favor of H H A HAstings
for his salary for three months by laid
on the table indefinitely, and on
motion a warrant was ordered drawn
in payment of teh quarterly salsry
of H H A Hastings
Motion made and carried to allow
the following reductions in water rent
J D Chase $1.50 George Sycles all rent
previous to March 1st, 1894
Fred Torstensens all but $1.50
Motion made and carried to allow
the Marshal to purchase tags for Dog
tax license with the first money
paid in as such.
Motion made and carried to adjourn
to meet Monday May 7th as 8 o'clock
pm
