to coal and bunker ship tomorrow.

Glasgow is horribly smoky, and
the air is full of malodours.
A good living gale of wind
would just clear the air from
dirt and smoke in the waggle
of a ropeyarn. My night aboard
for keeping ship, can hardly
keep my eyes open so I'll just
snuggle in, before the electric
dynamo is stopped at 10 0'clock.

10-30 P.M. We shifted the ship
right across the dock alongside
a crane - steam power - no 59.
which has the honour of coaling
